        The fix is easy remove the option of bail from misdemeanor crimes. limit bail to major crimes and violent crimes against people or "Peoplekind" as @JustinTrudeau likes to refer. If failure to appear require maxium sentence and admission of guilt.

        But isn't that, many times, deliberate? Or is it mainly concerning homeless folks getting open container misdemeanors and getting $100 cash bail? That is a bummer but probably a welcome change in the winter.
