I finally read this story. It is completely straightforward, describing how South Korea reacted to her, and not glorifying her in any way. The many, many people condemning this story simply don’t understand the role of journalism.

The role of media has always been to control the narrative. Their job is to deceive and mislead. They seem to be doing a great job at misleading the masses. This is why people no longer trust msm.

What a moronic piece of journalism. The papers should be stoned to death for their treason.

I agree. It should read the other way around, but nah, let’s diss our VP and put a communist dictator in the spotlight. I’m not charmed 🤬

I can see it all now. If USA gets attacked again, like 9-11. NYT will sing praise and glorify those who attacked US. Pathetic.

While some in the media look fondly upon North Korea during the Olympics, I can't help but recall this from 2 weeks ago--one of the most powerful moments I've ever witnessed. Ji Seong-ho--once starved and tortured by the North Korean regime--now free. Remember his story. pic.twitter.com/6TxNxxrP0C

Maybe Kim Jong-un’s sister, Kim Yo-jong, should have a sit-down with Otto Warmbier’s parents while they’re all at the Olympics, and we’ll see how far her “flashing smiles” go.
