It wasn't prioritized by the Obama or Bush Administrations either, but then what's true about "journalism" any longer. All bias, no ethics, no objectivity.

Actually Trump is the most dangerous virus in the US right now. Sorry flu, you've been dethroned.

Why is it that you don’t report when Flu is diagnosed swabs are to be taken and sent for testing of swans tested less than 2% test positive for Influenza virus yet CDC releases false numbers not reflective of this data. And tamiflu stock has tripled wonder how many CDC own shares

Don't they usually do the test right there in the office, so they know whether to give you the Tamiflu? They did with mine.

Those are RIDTs (Rapid influenza diagnostic tests) and only look for key antigens. The problem is the flu vaccine is grown in chicken eggs and mutates. The flu virus being spread is usually a different strain thus shot is ineffective as well as RIDTs against mutated strains

The flu comes every year with a vengeance. Why is this something that needs a new plan different from every other year?

Obviously that's true, but the article states how unprepared this administration was for the outbreak.. They could've used some of the money that was cut to do research and run tests to potentially prevent it from spreading the way it is.. can't do that w/o funding
