To be fair, or at least pretend to be, @nytimes should also publish stories of mothers happy with being mothers, and use similar sized headline fonts with the positive aspects.

She should consider getting an abortion.
-
Seriously, she would have way more options.
-
She would have way more options if she killed the child immediately after birth too. Still wouldn’t be right.
-
Um, that's very disturbing. You should go see a counselor.
-
As is abortion. It’s the same baby before and after birth.

By that logic, you're the same person as a toddler as you are at 21. So go ahead and put a beer in their sippy cup. Sounds ridiculous, right?

So are many subjects taught in schools but we still teach them and have good reasons to do so

Truth is sperm fertilizing egg makes baby... we have the technology to prevent this. Prevention is the choice. Once sperm fertilizes egg, we have a new human life to consider. Whose choice is more valuable? The mother or the child?

"Some women find complete satisfaction in the role, while others are forced to make difficult choices or wish they had remained childless" No mum I've ever met has regretted their child. That's a huge thing to say.
