The stock market entered correction territory. Here's what that means.http://nyti.ms/2ENnsuh

It means the market has overvalued its companies considering their results and their medium term expectations. The stupid tax cuts increaseases the deficit “Bigly” and in the long term will hurt the economy

It means we are trying to keep people from jumping off building like in 1929, so please don’t do that just yet.

"correction" means that we are trying to convince people we are somehow "more right" now, despite not knowing this would happen beforehand

A whole lot of people knew it was going to happen; otherwise, it wouldn't have happened. It's us schmucks watching it on the news AFTER it happened that are out of the loop.

Seems the crash in 2008 dropped to normalization, and that we should be somewhere between 10,000 and 15,000 right now. Maybe the banks and markets need some more regs so the tax payers don't need to keep bailing them out.pic.twitter.com/VFNcvmnpXc

Try this crazy thing: take that graph & adjust the dates to any 30 yr period. Try 1930 to 1960 for instance.

You see the blip at around 1987? Everything to the left of that is the trend toward the eras of which you speak. The market exploded under Clinton with the dot com boom. Clinton dereg'd the banks and set the ball in motion for the sub-prime mortgage crisis. Its a greed explosion.

A stock market correction simply means that you were holding the charts upside-down so turn them back to upside.
