How is this smart? It's basically calling the entire Chilean population stupid and gives no responsibility to parents of the children.

No...it simply means that snacks dont have to be specifically targeted for children. Camel cigs used to have a certain look to their mascot that was targeted to certain demographics. That was taken out too.

Give me a goddamn break. Cartoon mascots on food aren't making kids obese. Parents buying too much junk food are doing that. How about we take responsibility for our actions?

It's not what you eat it's how much you eat. With the exception of soda. Soda should be a treat not a replacement for hydration purposes.

Or instead of placing bans on what a private business does, the parents could be responsible for their children?

From what I understand of the law, it's that the amount of the elements they have of a type, and not about the daily %. It's bizarre. Obviously fruit/vegetable prices haven't gone down, but keep rising.

I thought it was the parents that fed these kids. But what do i know? Let's just outlaw everything fun. Only colors to use are different shades of grey in advertising. Don't want to give the wrong message to those poor fat kids. #nonsense
