First, they did away with Tony the Tiger. Here's how Chile is is waging war on unhealthy foods, in an ambitious attempt to remake its food culture:http://nyti.ms/2BMGWkh

Dude, as a Chilean, may I ask you: What the hell are you talking about? Guinea pigs? Here? As food? No. Plain wrong. Just... What?

I've lived here for almost 38 years. First time hearing that. In no menu in my life I've seen a guinea pig as a dish. I mean, you may be right (it's food), but call it popular or easy to find is just plain wrong.

Again, you are right that you can find it here. But it's not common. I repeat, first time hearing about it. Better enjoying of our seafood, traditional meat and, as you said, great wine.

Great initiative, despite food industry tenacious opposition. Chile's taking the lead in repairing the damage, the food industry inflicted on people's health.

Had a project for psych in college that required me to watch and analyze the commercials during children's programming. I was horrified by the amount of fast food/ junk food marketing aimed at children.

Only in the "retail" foods. Kids and parents are always eating and drinking shit from the "carritos" (like hot dogs or pizza hut places) real problem is not images in boxes. What Chilean parents don't do is EDUCATE their children.
