        He’s not a native speaker of English (and neither am I). And you’re right, there’s a correct word that already exists and he should have used: humankind.

        The guy speaks good English. I think he may have gone blanked or tongue tied and he voice out the one closest to humankind that shows inclusion and equality and far away from the one that shows gender superiority (mankind).

        Yes, his English is excellent so you may be right. Still, I wonder if there’s a word in French that would resemble “peoplekind” rather than “humankind”. But, most important, he made himself understood and promoted a great discussion.
