The Senate is nearing a 2-year spending deal that could help avert a shutdown, despite objections by President Trump and House Democrats. It does not include a deal on immigration.http://nyti.ms/2E9XeoX

@SenSchumer @NancyPelosi If Democrats believe anything promised by Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan, they need to get their heads examined. If this budget deal passes without DACA then Dreamers can start packing up now for a trip to and a long stay in south of the border.

        Replying to @RobertHoustonII @nytimes and

@SenSchumer @NancyPelosi For one, Trump is never going to sign a DACA deal without being cornered to sign one plus neither Ryan nor McConnel have full control of their caucuses. Finally none of their promises are any different than promises Trump makes. End of discussion.

All this was done while Trump was busy tweeting. It's like giving a toddler an I-Pad to distract them while you work.

Include immigration and ignore Trump. Have as little to do with him as possible. His words mean nothing. He renegs, negates, muddies, reverses, forgets, delays, distracts. Everything but lead. Congress- Go forward for the country!
