The offending post on the Mercedes-Benz Instagram account featured a quote popularly attributed to the Dalai Lama: “Look at the situations from all angles, and you will become more open”http://nyti.ms/2BZlcxd

It might useful for the world to know the quote @MercedesBenz used is NOT even by HH @DalaiLama. Journalists + Tibet supporters missed that key fact. A common social media mistake. @xeni @ethannichtern @TibetanReviewpic.twitter.com/RzYvgTu6Wx

Well the reaction by Mercedes was as though the words were his, and the apology was pathetic and bowing to pressure from China. Really doesn't matter if they were or weren't his words. Social media DID NOT miss the point of the kowtow apology. Did you?

Would we tolerate such authoritarian dictates if Hitler's Germany made similar demands on global businesses? Where do consumers, corporations and governments draw the line? #EconomicBlackmail

China should apologize for killing the most people, ever, in their communist revolution.

Still not as many people killed in their "communist revolution" as Americans killed by guns every year. Also, a revolution implies that communism in China is a new system. It's not, so I think you the word incorrectly. Also, communism doesn't kill people. People kill people.

During and after the revolution and "great step forward", estimates are between 50 and 100 Million people killed within a 4-10 year period.

I am not wrong. You are wrong. You can do your own research. There's a thing called Google, and hundred's of legitimate sources that estimate the mass killings during Mao's (whatever you call it) thingy where a lot of "blood" got killed.

Well, technically, in the non communist part of China - Hong Kong - Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic, there is Google, and there are mega rich google execs. What's not to love when you can be Communist and Capitalist at the same time? LOL
