"Animals are disappearing. The oceans are full of plastic. The human population is so numerous, the planet may not be able to support it indefinitely. This doesn't paint a very pretty picture for people bringing home a brand-new baby from the hospital."http://nyti.ms/2s721la

Overpopulation has been the top threat to life on earth for decades prior to the development of climate change theory. Consider: The amount of water on earth is a fixed quantity. Without serious population conversations everything else is political sideshow.

But it's not. We're still getting water from space in the form of meteorites.

The theory is that meteorites brought water to earth 2 billion years ago.

I adore children and had 3 of them, starting 26 years ago. I would seriously think long and hard about it if I were facing that choice today. Look around.pic.twitter.com/zZp67e0TNZ

The earth cannot support this many people. People should have fewer children. This would contract the global economy and that is why we won’t do it. It’s always about the money.

Eat less meat, stop overusing/buying plastics and invest in renewable energy. Neil DeGrasse Tyson said Earth can cope with more people...we just have to be smarter about our resources. We are at this point, extremely wasteful. #ClimateAction #Mindfulness #smartertogether
