Apple can be grateful to Xerox. Without appreciating its implications, Xerox had invented the technology but didn't know how to apply it. It gave it for free to Steve Jobs who used it well ... resulting in the famous screen of Apple computers with hard drive & bin icons.

It is important to keep advancing our technology. That's why it is hard to believe that @realDonaldTrump would want to bring back coal while taxing using advance technology of solar wand wind energies.

The odd thing is that Xerox actually had the technology to compete (GUI for computers and the mouse) they just didn't know what to do with it. But then Steve Jobs came along, knew what to do with it and stole it for the Mac.
People still use carbon paper and photocopiers. We have a Xerox fax at work!
