Wanna ask your religion beat writers wassup @NYT? 'cause this goes deep and is not 'economic populism'. If your religion writers won't maybe your #science writers will? Or is this an editorial level choice? cf also Bridenstine (NASA)https://twitter.com/ReaderAdrift/status/877858421805989888 …

The "gas of life" for plants... White needs to try breathing it for awhile and then tell us how alive she feels! It certainly would end the stupidity pretty fast.

Without CO2 plants could not grow. Without plants there is no photosynthesis and no oxygen. No oxygen and you die. It’s a cycle necessary for life. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Someone put her in a room and remove the oxygen and fill it with carbon dioxide and see how long she lasts? It’s “gas of life”, so whats the big deal?

But the problem is theres so much CO2 being produced, and so many plants being destroyed, that the plants arent able to reduce the amount of CO2 like they should. So we need to reduce our CO2 emissions and/or plant more plants!

She should prove her "gas of life" claim by putting herself into a sealed room that fills with CO2. If she survives, it'd make me a believer!

Who keeps and controls the master list that the trump administration is drawing from to nominate the most inept, unfit, ideological collection of anti-public service candidates in US history?

Technically right but I guess she as the entire 45 administration misses out on environmental issues or rather sees all such as a hindrens to make a fast buck. And You know, some people rather eat their children than stand by missing out on money.

I have to admit that I’m disappointed this nomination was withdrawn...I was looking forward to an elementary-school jingle called “The Gas Of Life” sung to the tune of the theme song for the 80s sitcom “The Facts Of Life.”

Carbon dioxide is a qualitative pollutant. Concentration is a problem. Terminology won't save the earth.
