Breaking News: FBI offices in 3 cities were told that Larry Nassar had molested elite gymnasts. But nearly a year later, gymnastics officials became concerned about the slow pace of the case. During that time, over 2 dozen girls and women were molested.http://nyti.ms/2EChkoP

The New York Times has identified at least 27 girls and women who say that Dr. Nassar molested them between July 2015, when he first fell under FBI scrutiny, and September 2016, when he was exposed by an @IndyStar investigationhttp://nyti.ms/2GKIwSM

On July 27, 2015, USA Gymnastics officials contacted the FBI in Indianapolis. The next day, its chairman and its president met with FBI agents. 41 days had passed since USA Gymnastics first received the report of the sexual abuse of one of its charges.http://nyti.ms/2GKIwSM

Many girls and young women still seeing Dr. Nassar received no warning of the sexual assault allegations. Among them was Emma Ann Miller, now 15. She had about a dozen sessions with Dr. Nassar between the summers of 2015 and 2016, her lawyer said. http://nyti.ms/2GKIwSM pic.twitter.com/ZzDkMscPwD

“Whenever he asked if my lower back hurt, he would always find a way to touch me down there,” Emma Ann said, explaining that Dr. Nassar would say that her pelvis was in need of adjustment. http://nyti.ms/2GKIwSM pic.twitter.com/tYqO8hQ1J2

Emma Ann’s mother struggles with rage. “Look at what he did to my happy girl. Look at all the people who could’ve stopped him earlier. My goal is to find every single one of them in the haystack — expose them all, so this will never happen again."http://nyti.ms/2GKIwSM

This is unbelievable, you're trying to discredit the FBI to help a criminal treasonous party keep their power? HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN THIS?! How is this on the FBI?! They have procedures to follow! Place the blame where it belongs! The guardians of these girls failed, end of story.

No, the guardians didn’t fail, MSU and US Gymnastics did. They covered for him. The parents were snowed. Ask the dad who went after Nassar in court yesterday. Listen to his statement. He wasn’t the only one. And no, women and girls don’t tell for many reasons. Know 1st hand why.

EXACTLY. The Olympic officials allowed this man to keep his job even after the girls made their claims. FBI has procedures to follow. This is on the committee and the parents.

“they came away with the impression that federal agents had advised them not to discuss the case with anyone. “ what were they supposed to do when our nations finest lawmen were on the job?

What you're supposed to do as a legal guardian of a child is protect that child no matter what. Kids are under your care, they're telling you they're being abused. You send them back to the abuser until the cops figure out what's going on? Really? Come on already enough.

So why didnt "gymnastics officials" take some action on their own to stop him from having access to the gymnasts?

At almost every turn, since the 90s, girls -- very young girls -- tried to complain and were ignored or dismissed. At MSU the Board of Trustees that oversaw this is still intact.

And ? They could have suspended him - they are the problem - iron clad cases take time to build - they had the info - USAG is complicit at the least
