Honestly...what rational explanation is there for selling 720 rounds to a civilian?

That merits a headline? The guy bought 5 boxes of ammo? Most gun onwers I know keep 4-5 boxes on hand. I’m a devoted NYTimes reader and Democrat, but this is a ridiculous and clueless headline

720 rounds is not as absurd as it sounds. I burn through a couple hundred rounds every time I go shooting. Besides, the LV shooter had no record, so no amount of background checks would have stopped him. Also why, last I checked, no motive has yet been determined.

The amount of ammo doesn’t really concern me a person could use that over a long time period but to be able to re-sell and no background check that’s not a good way to have oversight on guns and ammunition. They track marijuana from seed to flower ammo should have tracking too.

Amazing that he didn't call authorities? They should limit ammo that will fix the NRA.

That isn't a noteworthy amount of rounds.

People lack the ability to read articles. It wasn't out of the ordinary for the man to sell 720-750 rounds. He's a hobbier merchant/seller. It isn't his business what others do with said rounds, just like a gun store can't know someone will use their guns for crimes.

Another black eye for the State of Arizona and their very "lax" GUN Laws! Oh yeah here in Arizona the NRA owns all the Republicans in our State House and the Governor seat!

not a lot of rounds, people buy 1, 2, 5k rounds at a time, especially if on sale. Saturday at the range could easily be 400 rounds.
