Was the NYT concerned when President Obama virtually doubled the national debt?

Just good to see that deficits are OK again. Democrats won't forget this when they take Congress back, so...cool?

When little kids don’t have food, #welfare will kill them and their drive to succeed. When #Billionaires want #welfare that they didn’t need, while they store #Billions overseas to avoid taxes, they’ve somehow earned their #welfare.

And I’m not mad at them for wanting a tax break, but when your break causes old ladies to eat cat 🐱 food for dinner, something is wrong. When your break causes our kids to carry your burden, something is wrong! When you use 90% of what is funded and then don’t want to pay.....

        - spending - tax cutting - deporting taxpayers - torturing DREAMers (who pay $ to be here as well as make top tier contributions to the betterment of our nation) CON-gress is very much the opposite of PRO-gress

@paulstgeorge huh. Could've sworn there was a chorus of doomsayers about that deficit for 8 years prior to Trumpaggeddon. They couldn't possibly have been braying under false pretenses, though.

Dems tax and spend. Repubs borrow and spend. The ONLY viable path is to reduce spending. Otherwise, it's Fake Debt

We were on the right track with the sequestration process. Across the board 10+% reductions. Also, Dems technically never raised taxes in the Obama years (ok, allowed top bracket Bush cut to expire).
