Opinion: Week by week, tweet by tweet, Trump has normalized the routine expression of homophobia and transphobiahttp://nyti.ms/2FtXZ8o

Perhaps more is going on; we are still working things out. Example: a biological male athlete who identifies as a female attempts to compete (or competes) in a female division. Is that fair? If you say "no" (as I do), some will call you a bigot. Is that backsliding?

Of course it's not fair, I am sure most people don't think it's fair. I can't understand how it's allowed

Sorry, but after 8 years of the Government telling its citizens how to think, there's going to be some backlash. Forcing children to use the same bathrooms as transgender adults isn't exactly endearing either. Trump has nothing to do with it.

And I don’t say that with ignorance. It just seems like disagreement and discrimination has somehow morphed into the same word, but they’re two very different words. One is absolutely not okay, the other, people shouldn’t be shamed for.

Stop trying to create false narratives. Most hate-crimes have been found to be hoaxes. Media wants to paint @realDonaldTrump as enabler of hate when it engages daily in propaganda of hate against Trump & his voters.

I was going to say something about Dr. King and the arc of the moral universe. But, maybe Dr. King was incorrect after all. Perhaps our moments of tolerance are mere blips. And, the arc of the moral universe bends toward hatred, divisiveness, and fear of the other.

Maybe.... This.... Isn't.... Actually.... Bigotry. Maybe, this is a reaction to a fear constructed over a candidate who won an election. Maybe, the propaganda associated with this person's election was so over the top that there was no way to retract the premises?

Maybe, everyone has internalized a false reality due to this fear from propaganda. Maybe everyone has been repeating it's construct over and over to themselves, their friends, and In the media.... So that it can still be real- still felt. Imagine if it's not real... /1

And ask yourself this: Are we a more bigoted country since the civil Rights movement or less? And if you think more, ask yourself, which is more likely? Mass hysteria due to propaganda and stigma? Or the children of progressives became bigots? /2

Because if we are more bigoted, we must have, at some point, recruited new bigots. /3

Consider this: That Majority of Americans voted for Civil Rights. The vast majority supported gay marriage. The vast majority voted for first term Obama. Where did they all go? Could it be something else entirely? Perhaps push back against a political ideology? /4
