        Technically it could. Rates are dependent upon demand and use. If fewer people are in the marketplace for either Obamacare or another private insurance policy then it’s possible rates for those not on this new plan will be impacted.

        In this case the demand is built in with nearly 1 million employees for these three companies. I just took it a step further with the idea a true healthcare marketplace. Which as you say may raise prices on the current Obamacare marketplace.

        The thing is, affordable health care should not depend on who one's employer is. Most employers in the US are small businesses - many sole proprietorships. Suppose we end up with one huge conglomerate: isn't that, in effect, a one-payer system?
