Do we stop listening to Wagner or stop reading and using the theories of nietzsche? There has to be a point where we are able to separate the art from the artist. The art has to be strong enough to “live” on its own.

Well, one day there will be a politically correct museum and a museum for other artists. Guess which one will be more interesting.

If we start tying art with the sexist, racists, homophobes that created it, we will have a lot of empty space and great art segregated to the dustbins of history. We should have a space that calls out the artist human shortcomings but censoring and art should never go together.

I'm no historian of art history. But if lack of sexual misconduct is a prerequisite for having one's art shown in a gallery, then curators should just get up and take all paintings down now.

I'll help! One is still alive and can apologize and make restitution. One is dead, and cannot. Also, everyone knows that Picasso was a dirty lech. Where have you been?

I am not giving rapists (and other criminals) a pass on their behavior. The flip side of the coin, the removing, hiding away, purposefully closing or shutting down exhibits, we would have very little art. It may be a grim thought but the art is still valid.

Aren’t there other artists? Must we keep glorifying pedophiles because they are “good” at art? No one dares give this much respect or deference to the victims. 👋🏾Picasso and all the other criminals. Tired of celebrating evil men.
