Florida’s Stand Your Ground law was meant to make sure that average residents could defend themselves without fear of arrest or trial. Now, police officers accused of using excessive force are trying to claim the law’s protection.http://nyti.ms/2BxnC5L

No it was meant for average WHITE SUPREMACIST to get away from shooting and murdering a Black or Brown person without punishment

Exactly! Any legal protections offered by "stand your ground" were never meant to extend beyond white property owners

Whatever happened to American law enforcement officers ability to take suspects in to custody versus needing an excuse to murder them?

Um cause the criminals do not follow, directions. No officer i know wants to use their weapon. They are left no other choice. These entitled eftards need to just follow directions for erryone safety.

like the guy who was not a criminal who was shot while lying on the ground with his hands up as ordered, and was still shot.or the guy in his car following directions who was shot and killed, who was also not a criminal. Funny they never seem to have this problem with white men

You may want to look into those stories a little further dear. You do not have all the facts.

In Florida - everyone can buy a gun and bullets and start killing because they just need to claim they were standing their ground -- if state GOP says anyone can, then why exclude police -- such idiocy when GOP talks about guns

I seem to have hit a nerve. So it's ok for you to criticize policemen everywhere but you can't stomach the exact comment spun around to face yourself? Seems real Christian like to me. I bet I know not only more about Jesus and his commandments, I bet I know more about everything.
