CBS only airs the latest Star Trek spinoff on its new subscription service. But this Trekkie says no.http://nyti.ms/2DFjB5g

I can't read the article. The new York times blocked it unless I pay a monthly subscription fee.....I guess I'll settle 4 watching Star Trek Discovery on my All Access. It's good. And I'll get 24/7 big brother streaming and The Good Fight too. Worth it.

FX is pulling this crap. I pay for cable that provides On Demand service. That I pay for. I’m not going to a la carte thirty streaming services. Eff that. Drawing the line.

Huge Trekkie here and totally agree. I refuse to sign yet another subscription channel to watch Discovery. If it is released on Amazon/Hulu/Netflix I will watch it

Yep. Gene Roddenberry would have wanted it to be on regular television, or at least one of the big services, widely accessible to a larger audience.

We're all paying to watch TV! The cable/media corporations slowly found a way to get us all to pay for TV! & if you want no commercials, you have to pay what I attribute to paying a small ransom in order to not see advertisements on your streaming apps! It's insane!

Then torrent it! Like if this guy was never gonna pay for CBS all access, they're not gonna lose money if he torrents and watches it anyway. I'm sure they'd complain, but is it really worth him having to give up his favourite hobby cause he doesn't have the money for CBS?

This is a whiny Trekkie who feels entitled. Broadcast TV wasn't going to ever do star trek again. Streaming makes it a reasonable proposition again.
