This year’s flu season is now more intense than any since the 2009 swine flu pandemic and is still getting worse, federal officials said.http://nyti.ms/2GjYX8l

Nationally, the number of people who are falling ill with flu is still increasing. More worrying, the hospitalization rate — a predictor of the death rate — has just jumped.http://nyti.ms/2GjYX8l

didn't the CDC recently state that it's not that bad and that the worst of it is leveling off?

That’s what I read. Straight from the CDC page. Can’t trust the media these days it seems.

Let's just be real, the CDC is winging it this year. They talk about how it's leveling off in some parts of the country and then talk about how it's still impacting the rest of the country. The poor CDC doesn't know what to say. Someone needs to give them a lollipop.

The nurse at our local middle school told me not all the cases of sick kids they’ve seen even had the flu. It was a mix of a bad resp virus, the flu & a stomach bug. Also, it was bad for two wks & has now leveled off. This is why I wonder if everyone is panicking & not diagnosed

Scary, that it’s getting worst, considering all the info available via mass media on the flu and how to protect yourself.Perhaps school districts should shut down nationwide or should we wait for a flu pandemic.

Oh more worry is when you don’t understand the instructions for one of the cheap Chinese thermometers as it reads 92.2.
