The Doomsday Clock is now at 2 minutes to midnight. The last time it was so close was 1953, during the Cold War.http://nyti.ms/2DHnHK0

A symbolic clock was set to two minutes to midnight because some scientists don't like POTUS. The 2012 Mayan calendar's predictions were about as convincing.

Lawrence Krauss is one of the people on that stage. I greatly respect his scientific work, but his political bias is extreme. Just have a look at his Twitter stream.

Difference was the Soviet PM Khrushchev and JFK thrashed it out as matured adults unlike dotard and rocket man who are both engaged in saber-rattling

You’ve got to be kidding! Kim Jong Un testing icbms on the other side of the planet is more worrisome than the two world superpowers almost engaging in thermonuclear war?

Do you mean mature like the time Nikita Khrushchev took off his shoe and began banging on the table at the UN? Maybe the time he said “We will bury you!“ The Cold War was really just bowls of peaches and unicorn farts.

"The Cuban Missile Crisis, for all its potential and ultimate destruction, lasted a few weeks; lessons were quickly apparent when US and the Soviet Union installed the first hotline btw d two capitals to improve communications, negotiated the SALT, ending all nuclear testing."
