More than 150 women confronted Dr. Nassar in the courtroom and spoke of their abuse. It was an extraordinary use of the courtroom — and a new way of thinking about justice.http://nyti.ms/2nchkmZ

Even if it took a month in court for this guy to listen to all these women confront him it would have been money well spent!

Sometimes there is a need, not only to the victims on their road to recovery but also for the world to see the people behind the statistics. And also how much damage a serial abuser like this actually manage to create.

This is the way justice should work for any crime especially sexual assault. Courts cannot be all about the accused and their rights / victims have to be heard, not just on evidence but in how crime affected them and to regain some power in their lives

This podcast is a prime example of poor presentation skills. Music doesn’t fit, guy who introduces the podcast sounds like he’s half asleep, had to quit out half way through. It’s like no one who narrates this podcast has ever played back their own voice to see how they sound.

Warning: there is sexual harassment at many institutions. .and like here at Michigan State and at Penn State private intuitions there is much collusion or indifference. There may be an even greater danger in public institutions. Students are easy targets that need protection!

Sentenced to 175 years. You have to hand it to our American cousins - their judges don’t mess about with pathetic jail terms like our lot.
