"We were putting people into power who would do things that were worse than the Taliban did," said a former Special Forces officer who beat up an Afghan commander who kept a boy as a sex slavehttp://nyti.ms/2BqtYnn

So, let's put this into plain terms: USA taxpayers fund pedophiles—probably all over the world. So let's see—in Afghanistan (the place where the USA has bombed and slaughtered people for more than 16 years now)—that would make USA taxpayers monsters and "the enemy".

Because hippies like yourself would call for that Soldier’s head if you saw a video of him beating up those pedophiles.

What is it they say about dancing with the devil? The fact that at least 5,753 violations went unchecked/ dealt with is both sickening and heartbreaking to say the least.

Yeah, anyone deployed there can tell you that it is very common in their society to use little boys as child sex worker. Really sad to see

when I was there, they were called "Bacha Bazi" or "bachi/bazi boys" as slang. Original article is misleading because the Taliban used them as well as the new regime. they are baked into that culture as owning one is seen as a status symbol.https://www.pakistantoday.com.pk/2016/12/19/bacha-bazi-afghan-subculture-of-child-sex-slaves/ …

So this is not new news obviously, but a NYT header may finally draw attention to the insanity of the situation.

As long as they are pro-American their crimes will be ignored. If a country defies American superiority then it is reduced to ashes for doing much less. There are conscientious people in the #US that's a big #surprise. #Unbelievablepic.twitter.com/qjj2x5DDOU
