Where was this sympathetic reporting in the 70s & 80s when the primary victims were a different demographic?

This is sad. Wish the same care and concern happened with a certain group years ago when it was crack/cocaine. Those people were criminalized and the effects still exist today.

Then maybe we should jail/execute those responsible for this crisis, but oh no, our corporate masters deserve rooftop penthouses in the tropics first.

I think if you are caught selling fentanyl you should get a minimum of 10 years. Just like we did with crack.

a _huge_ chunk of drug [ab]users are fully functional and "no one would ever think they're a junkie" type. The Hollywood stereotype is just that, a Hollywood stereotype. If you randomly screened your NYT coworkers 5 to 10 pct of them would probably be positive.

A bunch of morons commenting about drugs that don't understand the significance of them. And stop with the b.s. politics. The fentanyl crisis began when Obama was President and kept going up. Most people on here don't know sh*t about drugs, just act like they know every dam thing

Dealers found a new way to market drugs, like they always do. As long as there is a demand, there will always be a supply. It doesn't matter who's in office, however, if you close the boarder it will slow down the amount of drugs coming in, nothing will ever completely stop it.
