Grief is an impossible thing to understand looking from the outside. Until you’ve lost someone you truly care about you will never know the pain and suffering grief can inflict on your life. We don’t allow ourselves or others enough time to heal as we should.

I just lost my best friend, my 12 year old golden retriever, in his sleep yesterday morning, and this was in my timeline trying to sleep last night. Thank you for your odd timing, things said in this article can especially apply to those who lose (what is more than) a pet.pic.twitter.com/hJsJ0Pu62f

I am experiencing this as my husband passed on Christmas Day. I am on an emotional roller coaster, however I am a strong person but this grief can be overwhelming. I take each day optimistically and hope the next will be a bit better. I don’t want to wallow in grief if possible.
