It is necessary to seek dialogue and ask questions. If some people r offended by that or r trying to shut down dialogue they r not genuinely supporting the changes #metoo is trying to achieve

race is fiction. aziz ansari is an individual, does not represent anyone except himself. same goes for all of humanity.

This article missed the point of a lack of role models for me in the entertainment industry. Dev Patel is one of my favorite actors. M. Night Shyamalan, Kumail Nanjiani, and Kunai Nayyar are very popular. Bollywood is a wealthy film industry.

Why is this ‘racial lens’ necessary? From what I’ve observed, the accusations & media coverage have been unprejudiced ...

Race and accusations in the same line. Nope, this is just about accusations - You know, the accusations that are being gobbled up on social media like candies.

Why do you need to tackle this thru a racial lens? Race has nothing to do with this, any more than the fact that he may be a Southern Baptist. Quit trying to divide people. #RaceBait = #ClickBait

Because there is a long history of women falsely accusing men of colour of rape. In order to have them arrested or lynched. The #Metoomovement is powerful tool for racist women to destroy the lives of men of colour.

I guess I didn’t realize that only #WhiteMales were the only humans capable of abuse... I don’t need to look at things thru a racial lens. Nowadays I guess that makes me racist, meanwhile everyone else is making generalizations and prejudging based on stereotypes and bias...

Using their own ideology against them is fair game. Which is what I am doing here. I don’t like the idea of throwing any group under the bus in our quest for a better society. That includes white cis straight men.

Great, but stop compartmentalizing everyone into ethno-social-gendered groups! I mean, that’s fine that you want to identify me as a “cis white straight male”, but that is a sweeping stereotype used to belittle my status. Do you see the slippery slope?

I don’t buy that. The fact that Hispanic and Blacks use pot at the same rate as whites and get arrested more often. Or that women get 1/10 the sentence for similar crimes as men. Shows compartmentalization is important for understanding.
