Your headline claiming Democrats blocked the CR is false. I subscribe to WAPO and my local paper. This is why I don't subscribe to your paper.

Your spin on this is incredibly irresponsible. And also inaccurate. I finally have had it with The NY Times. I am canceling my subscription. I have the Washington Post, a paper with integrity.pic.twitter.com/OBd4iULmLQ

I've been giving them a chance and giving them a chance. Every week having to explain away their defense of Trump and the GOP. No stories of people from the resistance or checking in with Clinton or Sanders voters. And then the Trump supporters' op-eds on Thurs. I can't anymore.

Uh, the R's could not even get 45 votes on their own with 4 of their own voting no, not to mention that 5 D's voted yes. How does that equal D's blocking the bill? #TrumpShutdown #GOPShutdown

Because no matter what there needed to be at least 9 D's voting yes. As you have to have 60 vote fornit to pass Senate. So yes the D's are more worried about illegal immigrants over CHIP or our military.

Lots of ways to have both, months ago. 79% of Americans support DACA, and the GOP let CHIP expire for exactly this reason. They made it this way.

Chip does not expire till March. Has absolutely nothing to do with at least keeping the lights on for 4 weeks.

It didn't have to expire at all.

And it wouldn't have if there were more dems cared about it. But they cared more about DACA.

Nope. CHIP has always had full bipartisan support. It expired 110 days ago. Republicans have refused to address it until right now. We can have both.

This is a very weird headline since only 45 Republicans voted to move the bill forward. How can Democrats "block" something that only 45 Republicans support? pic.twitter.com/D8irIutcC2

Hey NYT, stop saying the Dems are blocking it. The GOP just doesn't have enough votes because the bill stinks. Make that clear.
