Would you pay $11.52 to drive in the busiest parts of Manhattan? A proposed pay-to-drive plan would be the first of its kind in the U.S.http://nyti.ms/2Bdaa70

ahh yes. normalizing being fleeced. food companies do this. they shrink the size of say OJ and yet, the price goes UP. this isn't for congestion. it's because the city leaders are addicticted to taxing YOU.

Keep fleecing NYC residents. They’ll leave because this is nothing more than a TAX. You already punish residents of Staten Island as they are more or less taxed to enter their home borough

they did this in the UK and all it did was cause more congestion in other parts of the city. This will fail horribly and it has nothing to do with congestion, just another way to steal from the working people of this city.

A study comes out that says that increased congestion is almost all due to the surge of for hire vehicles in the last few years yet instead of addressing that, they try to fleece the poorer residents of the outer boroughs. Constrain uber and lyft and this problem gets resolved.

Um. No. NYC already charges exorbitant parking fees, we subsidize public transportation with fees in taxis, it's enough. Have private car services (Uber, Lyft, Via), delivery trucks and FedEx/UPS pay the extra monies--they're the reason for double parking and so much congestion.

I'd pay $1,111.52 NOT to drive in the busiest parts of Manhattan.

I take the train and subways as much as I can in Manhattan. The traffic is miserable. The streets were designed for the 19th century and the density is going through the roof.

I escaped that God-forsaken hellhole 42years ago. I wouldn't set foot on that miserable vomit lake, if you gave me Gracey Mansion! I'd sell it to the highest bidder, never once spending one night in it! It is so far to the left, it is coming around to the other side. HELL NO, TY!

The new traffic patterns devised over the past 15 years have made traffic worse. They eliminated a good portion of Times Square so people could sit in chairs and walk in the street. Should we pay money to spend an hour to go 10 blocks? Go fish.
