Why are news organizations obscuring that key compliance element of #RealID is state must retain and store scans of your vital documents? Do you trust your DMV against hackers? So much for ID theft prevention. What it really shows is complete lack of trust in states from DHS.

Remember, Nazi Germany and the USSR both both required mandatory IDs. Not having one meant enhanced interrogation, prison or worse! Papers, please....

I wish people would read the story before commenting. It's about the ID standards to fly and state driver licences compliance.

@realDonaldTrump Admin looking into ID checkpoints on interstate highways.... papers, please... -
Really? When the cops stop you they can ask for an ID.. it's been that way long before Trump became POTUS.. where have you been?
-
I guess history is not your strength. If a federal ID is mandatory then we're no better than Nazi Germany or the USSR which used them to control their citizenry. Read up!

State ID.. drivers license or ID. Try not having one is the cops stop you.
-
I guess if you read the story you would know that it's about state drivers licences and standardizing them. This has nothing to do with a federal ID.
