this article is quick to mention Dr. Leventhal but omits the Connecticut judge deemed the Yale-New Haven team report suspect due to unavailability of notes, which were destroyed prior to issuance of report, and the doctor's unwillingness to testify at trial except thru deposition

article also omits that Connecticut's state attorney said he had "enough cause to prosecute Allen but wanted to spare Dylan the trauma of a trial."

I do feel for Dylan Farrow, I really do. And I greatly dislike Woody Allen. But the story just doesn’t add up. There’s simply no proof and more than enough doubt.

@SopanDeb, did you intentionally ignore these facts about the Woody Allen case or did you simply not know about them? Please, please challenge Woody Allen's lies, for the sake of truth AND of @RealDylanFarrow.https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2014/02/woody-allen-sex-abuse-10-facts …

Sorry, I don't see your point. I wasn't referring to an editorial but to actual facts of the case - e.g., the CT state attorney said there was probable cause but pursuing charges against Allen wasn't tenable because of Dylan's age & mental state. Have I misunderstood your intent?

I think he’s referring to the vanity fair article. If you actually read the piece you would know that they aren’t close friends. They merely met once before the interview for the article. Also the article was stating facts that were in the 33 page decision the judge wrote.

Thanks, that's what confuses me: Facts are facts, no matter who delivers them. And that leads me back to the question of why the NY Times let Woody Allen lie in an article w/out challenging him with - or at least alerting the reader to - the facts.

I guess controversy sells more than facts. It’s absolutely disgusting that he is constantly given the spotlight. I can only imagine how people who were sexually assaulted feel when they see shit like this.

Anything that happens w/I the family court system is discounted; treated as if it's being used as a weapon. Child victims are victimized a second time by authorities, the very system that should protect them brutalizes them. Everyone who cares about children should be angry.

Moses Farrow’s experiences of abuse in that household were harrowing. Why not cover that too? Why is it so one sided?https://www.google.com/amp/s/ronanfarrowletter.wordpress.com/2018/01/04/moses-farrow-speaks-out/amp/ …
