Leaders of sanctuary cities SHOULD be charged. It’s essentially harboring illegal residents and encouraging/facilitating people to violate federal law. Imagine what would happen if a marijuana sanctuary city popped up in Texas, you think the state of Texas would do nothing?

Your analogy is bad. There are limits to the power of the federal government, powers delegated to the state. “Conservatives” used to promote local governance, but yet again are show to be full of shit.
-
It’s not legal to be an undocumented resident. Yet sanctuary cities facilitate people breaking the law. What, so these illegal immigrants get the privilege of violating federal law in addition to access to social programs they themselves do not contribute tax dollars into?

Guess what, there ain’t one. Remember when Rs disliked fed “overreach” and supported local governance? Apparently that was horseshit too.

What issue do you refer to? If you are talking borders, that falls under federal jurisdiction. All states knew this when they joined the union.

It’s so ridiculous. You can’t even deport someone in the country illegally who even committed a crime. This is one area where I support this administration.

Sanctuary cities aren’t breaking the law and the federal government cannot coopt a state’s police force to enforce federal law.

No they don’t actually- because according to Printz v US the federal gov cannot compel a state gov or agency to act/enforce a federal directive. Immigration is a federal law, the fed can write laws endorcing but they themselves HAVE to enforce, or states CAN elect to do so.
