Why did he wait 30 yrs to apply for citizenship? Was it because he liked all the free stuff he recieved from this country? Healthcare, food, housing. Not to mention the taxes he NEVER paid. I don't feel sorry for him at all.

Very sad and hard to watch. Doesn't change the fact that he was never a u.s. citizen and was here illegally though.

Same as every other white man - they came there illegally. "Illegal imigration" is a human construct, there is no such thing as "illegal imigration". There is only imigration/migration.

Not true. I'm here legally. My parents- legally.... Not even sure what you're implying... that there are no proper procedures for becoming a u.s. citizen?

How did white man came to the America? Legally? At one point in history your grand-grand-parents must have come there. Surly they didn't ask for permission from Native Americans. And now it comes bla-bla-bla "it's not the same" speach bla-bla-bla...

Yeah sounds like you already know why it's in no way the same. BTW no my great great grandparents lived in Mexico and my grandfather came to this country. Legally I might add.

There's no way to apply for citizenship in his circumstance-that's what the Dream Act is trying to provide. Sheesh-do a little research before you judge like that.

What I have realized is a lot of Americans who have not had to go through the immigration system is not aware of how it works. You cannot just apply for citizenship. There are many steps before that. And some people are not eligible depending on documentation on entry.

And when I walk into a bank and just ask them to give me $25K, they don't. So does that make me justified if I rob the bank?

I see where you are trying to go and the far out comparison you are trying to make. I replied as it has come to my attention over time that a lot of people say just apply for citizenship and I am explaining that is not how it works as I realize that is not understood.

Now even going to reply to that comparison with a bank because comparing migration of human beings to getting money or robbing a bank is mind boggling at this point. Have a Blessed day

They are both crimes. One lands you in prison, the other results in deportation. That's really the only difference.
