He's got a good PR person. "smart" move and i'm sure Woody didn't pay much more than scale. Everyone is rushing to distance themselves in the wake of #timesupnow and #MeToo
As if this wasn't a KNOWN fact for years. But maybe it's genuine..

True, but that doesn't mean we need to support Woody Allen at all. Should've been out of business once people knew what he'd done
-
um, who said we should support Woody? Not me.
-
no one is saying we should support him, but obviously he continues to profit off of his work so there are people supporting him

How about telling people not to give their $$ to woody and boycott the film as a show of solidarity?
@zoeinthecities@JuddApatow -
This actor couldn't do that. There are contractual obligations when you make a film and he could get sued.
-
Agreed but then that would really make the point (perhaps with some financial pain)
-
for a well-established actor that might be an option but doing something like that would probably be a huge set back for a young actor like timothée who’s just starting out in hollywood. i think what he’s decided to do gets the point across well enough
-
All points well taken - perhaps via social media, the public encourages the boycott - could that work? (As a former fan of Mr Allen, I will def not attend this film)

That’s ok but he shouldn’t have made the movie with Woody Allen sex pest in the first place!

Humbled by this spin. Sexual Harassment charities don't need your money. Sponsor a starving child, an orphan elephant. Enough with the crazy.
-
So you’re just dismissing people that also actually need help? Sexual assault survivors? Because they’re not as important?

One solution - nobody sponsors or participates in any future Woody Allen movies.....

Lol throw money at them to make yourself feel better.

I think it's a better response than what Selena Gomez. He did put out a statement saying that there were contractual obligations and as a young actor I think he's doing what he can in this type of situation. There's obviously a lot that we want from actors that we can't ask for.

It’s really lovely that y’all are donating your salary. Why the hell did you work for him in the first place? You knew what he did.
-
Why? Because one woman accused him? So if someone accuses you it becomes the truth? Without due process? Without evidence? Without a trial?
-
ONE woman, Woody Allen? You’re kidding me with this? Wow. Don’t @ me, you clearly are without a clue!
-
Who other than Dylan Farrow? Enlighten me please. I am genuinely curious.
-
Use the google.
-
You use it. If you know how to.
-
Like I said, look it up.
