The people are already dead... what can anyone do about that? On the other hand, it might be possible to mitigate damage from the oil spilled by acting quickly. Perhaps everyone ought to be focusing on the later...

Agree. I asked US navy in Okinawa to go for help in the early hours. I twitted them. Also Japanese. If China was truly responsible, with a quick joint work both environmental damage and fatality rate could have decreased.

condolences for the #Iranian sailors at #Sanchi ship. Iran has failed on "Diplomatic relationship" with the world in order to save the life of sailors on the burning oil ship. Why could not the international law save the #environment from sinking the oil tanker?

That iranian oil tanker was most likely delivering oil to north korea. The billions of dollars obama gave to iran is being used to manufacture nuclear weapons in north korea.

In fact, the Chinese government's lack of control over the fire caused this massive incident. 32 of the crew of the ship died

I hear this was a Chinese action to keep this clandestine oil cargo to reach N Korea and to give Iran a warning. Sorry for the loss of life. @SquawkStreet @jimcramer

Looks like the @USNavy isn't the only ship owner that has collisions in the open waters that is patrolled by our @US7thFleet. Must just be a coincidence, right?

It is the second collision for a ship from the National Iranian Tanker Co in less than a year-and-a-half. In August 2016, one of its tankers collided with a Swiss container ship in the Singapore Strait, damaging both ships but causing no injuries or oil spill.
