Opinion: Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination, on April 4, 1968, played a direct role in Franklin’s creation. And "in the context of the late ’60s, Franklin’s debut was indeed a Major Social Statement."http://nyti.ms/2DsHUQs

It was both a statement of what was and a call to move forward, invite him to the table. It wasn’t perfect but it was the right direction. Now we are encouraging folks with white pigmented skin to burn their tables and build a wall. #Racism #Repentance #Love #Change

I understand what ur saying @pastorattheprov, we do have to start somewhere, but the fact remains it's been 2 centuries that's a long time to loop waiting for an invitation that may never be actualized. The Israelites were in the desert 40 years, we've topped it & the Holocaust.

In this season, we have to focus on the progress and opportunity to win. The noise is loud, but it’s a distraction from the darkness. #BeTheLight and know that the light will win. Thanks for sharing your perspective. I appreciate seeing things through different things eyes.

It's late in life for me, but change is growth and I'm reaching for & to be a part of that change, inwardly&outwardly. But my reality & life experiences r the foundation my change will spring from. It's been a long dry season *4us*, I want my grandchildren to feel the rain.
