So women finally speak out about harassment, abuse and assault and we're declaring war on men? It's not a zero sum game. But don't worry Catherine, mon amour, patriarchy remains alive and well, and power dynamics are still skewed towards men despite #MeToo and #BalanceTonPorc

The declaration signed by Mrs. Deneuve and others DOES NOT represent a so-called French feminism. It has mostly triggered outrage in the country.

No, it hasn't, stop lying. Not one single French TV channel, TV show or celebrity spoke against their manifesto. Every French person I see every day wholeheartedly support it. Stop with the lying.

I’m so done with this shit. As if Deneuve spoke for all French women. She will NEVER speak for me and countless of other women. Glad someone made clear that no, we do not agree with this shitty tribune.

We all have the right to decide what we do/don’t find appropriate. But NO ONE - incl another woman - has the right to make this decision for us. This is the basic principle of feminism: Equality. Freedom. CHOICE. Silencing victims of harassment is NOT feminism. Stop excusing it.

In spain there is a law that say that men are no more " innocent until proven guilty". We are punished just with a woman complaint. That means and order of estrangement towards the children, leaving your own house.... That´s the feminist equality

I’m not familiar with Spanish law and I’m not in a position to comment on that. If it is exactly as you say, I agree that’s not equality. But do me a favor and don’t explain feminism to me. That, I take offense to. Feminism is about gender equality. Nothing more, nothing less.

Let's face it, the male of the species are usually the ones doing the beating, raping and belittling, not to mention pedophilia . Thankfully women and good men are taking a stand to say no more!

I was fortunate that no male ever pedo'd my child. I'm afraid I'd be in prison forever.

Instead of quoting Beauvoir, the author could've explained why the French believe American feminism is excessive in the situation of calling out sexual harassment in the workplace. I never got that from the article.

this... is idiotic. you can have all kinds of relations with whomever you want as long as the terms are mutual. Nothing about harassment is mutual. Why is consent such a difficult concept.
