It was a rare event in the midst of the #MeToo moment: An apology was offered and accepted. "Dan was the only person who could wipe those doubts from my head. That’s why I was able to accept his apology. Because I felt vindicated," Megan Ganz said.http://nyti.ms/2FyLRE1

This is the adult way to handle an apology, with being genuinely remorseful and try to improve future behaviour and relationships. Opening a conversation also helps.

This is the best way this could go. A genuine apology with humility. And who judges whether an apology is genuine? The victim of the harassment.

Nice story. Now let’s move to something more heinous. 37 women were shot and killed in Vegas. Odds: 86:1 6 were shot twice. Odds: 64:1 More women were shot in the head than men were shot in the back. #37Women21Men https://youtu.be/ZdJNI3B2ck0 pic.twitter.com/Jmu7IyMiHw

Yeah but (assuming an even split audience) the odds are 10:1 against even a 50/50 split. So 22/36 is 2% chance vs 10% for 50/50. Not sure if you're making a point but that outcome isn't really strange.

What exactly is your point? We aren’t hypothesizing about anything. If the audience is 50/50 the odds are 86:1 If the audience is 45/55 odds are 31:1 Period.pic.twitter.com/h7B7xyycXd

That video literally said women were targeted; I'm saying it only looks that way if you don't understand statistics. No specific outcome is particularly likely.

Absolutely correct. And this particular outcome of 37 dead women and 21 dead men is only likely to happen once every 86 concerts. We accounted for the additional femal population and lowered the odds to 31:1. We pointed out that the men are larger targets, yet still.....pic.twitter.com/gq6hDhcVCU

Some abuses are criminal and whether or not the perpetrator feels sorry conveniently now or genuinely, jail is the place for reflection. However, we must not ignore the power of women to solve some of these impositions between themselves and perpetrators.
