Well played! I am not made at him for hiring an agent who worked hard to negotiate on his behalf and in no way was he obligated to donate his money but it was an awesome thing for him to do.

Thats not the point. We were told that Michelle Williams and all actors were doing it for free out of solidarity after Spacey cut out. Michelle Williams accepted for no extra pay (only $1000 for expenses). But Mark Wahlberg demanded to get paid.

That's exactly the point. Mark draws more $ to box office so he doesn't have to drop his rate for anything. He is the star.

The others had decided to do the reruns without extra pay in solidarity with Spacey victims, except Wahlberg.

yeah Wahlberg has born to a poor family of 11. Delivery driver dad, Clerk mom. Michelle born to a very rich family (Wall Street/Construction) Give me a break! Solidarity my ass. Mark must be mad as hell! He knows how difficult it is to earn $

He had no obligation to do it so its a good thing that the dynamics pushed him to realize that there might be something he was doing wrong. Maybe he thought about, genuinely felt bad and decided to react. Its all good.

Funny how concerned everybody gets once how much they've benefited from sexism gets exposed. Has their agency , @WME , explained why they negotiated a deal giving their male client 1.5 million & Their female client $1000 yet? #MichelleWilliams #metoo

Cup half full. We need our energy to move against injustice, not to call out a step in the right direction.

No, we needed the pressure to force them to make the step in the right direction. You attacking it wastes more time actually. #MichelleWilliams

You're attacking the idea of people pressuring a studio and agency for equal pay. If focusing on one issue takes away from another as you say. Your spending time doing that takes away from your other issues doesn't it? #MichelleWilliams

It's semantics I guess ,but your idea of " attacking" differs from mine. I simply meant it's good we're taking a step in the right direction. I think we're actually in agreement.

We are, I just have seen SO MANY trolls on here attacking the idea of fair pay that I'm guessing the Hollywood agencies that make these deals are panicked. Which is a good thing. :)
