It was a rare event in the midst of the #MeToo moment: An apology was offered and accepted. "Dan was the only person who could wipe those doubts from my head. That’s why I was able to accept his apology. Because I felt vindicated," Megan Ganz said.http://nyti.ms/2DvwOdK

It helps when the apology is sincere. Respect to Megan.

Megan said: "...the harassment was everything that happened after I said no." I think that is a great distinction. Hopefully #metoo will empower women to say no rather than feel like they can't say no. It's not just up to the men to change.

Al Franken offered a heartfelt apology which was accepted, too.

And then more allegations came out. And kept coming out. ... And Franken was a senator, not a writer of tv comedies.

It's too rare, really. Part of this entire thing needs to be the understanding that mistakes/misunderstandings happen (I'm talking more harassment/misconduct here not rape, etc.) and that if someone admits they screwed up and apologizes, we should try to show forgiveness. #MeToo

The apology wasn't offered, it was demanded in public. More people start actively volunteering these admissions and apologies - apropos of nothing - you'll know there has been significant change.

This is powerful, and handled how it should be. It doesn’t matter if we tag the offence with ‘sexual harassment ‘ ‘workplace harassment’ ‘bullying ‘ or another unacceptable exchange that occurs. Acknowledgement, honesty, apology and forgiveness. No one benefits otherwise.

It means if a guy or woman can do repentance and apologies, he/she is not Satan's army purely in nature. Satan as a being is evil doer, do harm to others, all over sins, such a life style
