I don't know why we can't turn this into an opportunity to create jobs. We obviously need to start recycling more plastics at a faster pace.

Maybe we Americans should take recycling more seriously..in the last 60 yrs everything is disposable not made to last..just go out and buy a new one...so there are many interesting ways to recycle things...

Those who produce the waste & plastics ought to recycle it.

Exactly, they've convinced us that its the consumers responsibility but in reality those who still produce all this plastic should be in charge of recycling it.

Not in charge, since they'd continue to pollute, a regulator with a big stick can be in charge, companies which generate pollution ought to take it back. Let's see their homes & premises stuffed to the ceiling with toxic waste.

Let's all do our best to cut out plastics - no laminates, no plastic bags, natural materials and fibres only.

So let's cut down more trees, burn more oil & coal to smelt glass containers. Replace phones, chairs,TV's, radios and 90% of everything in 90% of homes in the world? Is that your idea of not using plastic?

There's plenty of glass containers that already exist. There's plenty chairs that exist. Don't toss your phone/electronics just because a new one hit market. Bring reusable bags with you. Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.

Are you really that delusional? Of course it would be grateful to recycle ALL plastic I am ALL FOR RECYCLING and DO recycle and PREFER glass bottle & cups. unfortunately plastic is a necessity in today's world. & A luxury you're not willing to do without.

Erm, please don't make assumptions about people you don't know personally. I was brought up to reuse, recycle AND do without plastics/non-renewables as far as possible. .....and when was this - I hazard a guess it was probably long before you were born.

"as far as POSSIBLE" is the key words. As long as it doesn't affect what YOU LIKE it's not needed. That's my opinion of most lecturers. Also spinning seems to be a favorite method of avoiding questions.. are you for the cutting down of more trees, mining more stone & burning oil?

As I have tried to express to you - don't make sweeping judgements about folk you don't know, personally I find that offensive. So, my friend, I save you goodbye, I choose not to include you on my feed.
