Will my electric, gas or cable bill reflect the massive tax cut those companies will be receiving? Doubtful. Their savings will land in the pockets of their execs. If anything, my bill will continue to go up, up, up!

FPL in Florida announced double rate hikes before the hurricane cleanup was even over. One this year and again next year. In Florida, everyone is in bed with each other Say the word hurricane and for years insurance and utilities spike rates...many homeowners denied coverage!!

Just read through all the comments on here & it’s funny how negative people can be, almost like they want this to fail and their bills to go up. Not even willing to give it time like the article says, so many companies are already lowering it will put pressure on ones that aren’t

Did New York Times wait until late at night to put this out since it’s a positive reflection on the republican tax plan? Funny how that always works🙄

So many different ways the lower corporate taxes are going to increase money in people‘s pockets. It’s not just about the bigger paychecks.

not a chance, already have notice from two companies notifying of Feb increases and the electric company because of cold weather activating a higher "increased demand surcharge"....so nope.

@maddow My non-profit organization that supplies electricity to my area might actually pass some savings on to consumers, but my for-profit gas company definitely will not.
