Federal judges declared the map unconstitutionally gerrymandered and demanded the Republican-controlled General Assembly redraw district lines before the midterm electionshttp://nyti.ms/2Dgoazm

Dave C - I'm conservative. I'm against gerrymandering 2 favor any party - Rep, Dem or otherwise. Why upset? Level playing field FOR ALL.

For reference, these two atrociously snaking, twisted, gnarly districts in blue show what the North California state legislature had to do to cram all the black voters into as few seats as possiblepic.twitter.com/U6egnF1QgJ

Both parties commit gerrymandering. Both parties must be held accountable. It is fraud and must not just be illegal, but punishable. Those convicted of drawing gerrymandered districts should fined and removed from their position.

Hand it over to an impartial independent agency. It is astounding that you let elected officials have a hand in drawing districts.

Don't know about that, but we do try to keeps their hands out of the cookie jar. Almost any political party would do what the GOP have done if given the opportunity.
