What utter BOLLUX our children were given a slap on the leg when they behaved badly. They’re now two well rounded individuals of 33 & 30 who are successful in their careers and social circles.

Abusing children is an unnecessarily violent and lazy way of disciplining them. If you’re a parent that has to resort to hitting children to get them to listen, you should consider getting some therapeutic help if you think that’s okay.

Physical punishment is physical abuse. I was smacked around as a child but promised myself never to do that to my kids.

Wow, surprising and sad the amount of people here that are cool with violence toward children...

The lack of corporal punishment with the younger generations is probably why they are afraid of words and so easily offended. They should get to know the business end of a leather belt. #beatyourchildren

I'm sure the first generation of Welsh children raised without smacking will be very lovely indeed.
