It may have been an irresistible headline: Radiohead sues Lana Del Rey! But the reality is more complicated.http://nyti.ms/2CKUmtQ

At least in 5 years people will remember radiohead and not a another bland pop singer

They had no grounds to sue. They stole Creep from The Hollies.

The Hollies would also be credited on Lana's song.

I wish Thom and Lana would have just collaborated on a song. I'm staying neutral on this one; Just gonna wait for the smoke to clear. I love music. I'm NOT gonna start pissin contests when music SHOULD bring peeps together not apart. Over and out. #PeaceAndLove

I like both Lana and Radiohead, but am not a rabid fan of either. Having listened to Lana's song, I can see why Radiohead would want some credit, there are similarities in the music. Which is probably what happened with The Hollies when 'Creep' was released.

But, if what Radiohead are saying is true, that they aren't actually suing Lana over copyright, you have to ask why she claimed they were.

Radiohead was sued by the Hollies for Creep and now they want to sue Lan Del Rey. How rich.

radiohead reps have confirmed they are NOT suing her and are not demanding 100% royalties, they just want a writing credit. Lana is either misinformed or lying.

She’s one of the most derivative “artists” out there. Girl doesn’t have an original thought in her head. Happy she’s finally getting caught. I think Neil Young could make a case as well on this song. Her disastrous perf on SNL a few years back was a harbinger. . .

"the complexity - and, some say, the absurdity - of music copyright suits is on display in the case of “#GetFree,” since #Radiohead itself was the subject of an earlier #plagiarism accusation over “#Creep.”👈🤔 #LanaDelRey
