This seems to be blown out of all proportion and I feel sorry for H&M, quite common for children to be called cheeky monkey etc in Europe.. no offence intended

I've called my children "little monkeys" from the time they were infants. When I see this shirt, that's what I think of. Nothing more, nothing less. Just a cute phrase that lots of parents use. Insecurity, low self-esteem, or playing the race card would be reason for boycott. SMH

You think that the phrase is just a cute term to call your children but you ignore that others may view it as a historically vile term used to suggest that people were less than human.

In India, calling a kid a monkey (bandar/ korangu/ banore) is an endearing term referring to his mischievousness. Hope this penchant for politically correct speech stops somewhere

The problem is in North America, this is a horrific racial slur. Imagine clothing being sold in H&M stores in North America with a slogan degrading Indian people?

It is also a very well known slur and the creative decision makers who sit in a board room approving these designs are perpetrating and promoting racial injustice which is why we need groups like black lives matter

These type of degrading injustices normalize bigotry, racism and hatred and moving forward we don’t need H&M or Pepsi or any other companies apologies we need their employees to act with humanity and integrity first and until then we need to act with our wallets.

Do you know what’s more common calling your child a monkey, obviously no racism was intended so there is nothing to be concerned about. Why are you trying to make things racist
