The stock market has surged. Unemployment is at 4.1%. ISIS has largely been vanquished from Iraq and Syria. But despite it all, President Trump’s approval ratings are mired in the upper 30s.http://nyti.ms/2FeTUG3

Yes, because he's not responsible for any of it. To be blunt, it's actually happened in spite of him. Watching endless amounts of Fox 'News' and tweeting like a drunken chimpanzee is not much of a leadership platform.

Because he had nothing to do with ISIS' defeat or the great economy - both were long, hard labors wrought over years of the Obama presidency. And stock market has almost no impact on avg Americans. Has never put a penny in my pocket. His childish behavior earns him low ratings.

In fact 2017 created fewer jobs than 2016. The economy has been growing at a steady pace for 7+ years. We can debate who get the credit, and I think presidents rarely deserve all of it, but the economy was making a steady recovery during the Obama years.

Not NEARLY like Trumps. Do you understand anything that he has done? Companies are giving their employees massive bonuses and that contributes to the economy die to.massive tax cuts, deregulation, it's not that hard it's economics 101

Haha this particular myth about the bonuses is especially funny to me since my husband works for one of the companies who tried to day they were giving bonuses b/c of tax reform. 1st $1000 is not "massive." 2nd after taxes it was less than $700.

3rd) if Rs really wanted to help middle-low income people they wouldn't tax the hell out of a tiny bonus, the only 1 he ever rcv'd in 4 yrs there. 4th) Let's do the math - $700 spread over 52 wks is $13/wk. Hardly life-changing. It's political BS.

The economy was good after 1yr of Bush Jr too. Deregulation and cutting the rich taxes takes time. We all learned that in 2008.

The stock market is not the economy! Average people are not doing well, they are not invested in the stock market, they're more paycheck to paycheck. C'mon. Do better.

how can he expect people to get past the fact that he lies to them daily? that he is really only taking care of the rich & corporations with his tax scam, that he is going to slash their Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare? these are what touch Americans on a personal level
