        Meanwhile in most Western us cities, we have completely gotten rid of plastic grocery bags, and with no issues. Most people now bring their own reusable bags to avoid the 5c paper bag charge. Overall a healthy cultural shift at little cost to consumers.

        Actually it looks like this is about the fruit and veggie bags, which still exist here but I believe most are already compostable and do not have a charge. Still, I do not use them, just fill my reusable bags with my produce directly.

        My husband & I went 2 Italy few years ago & u will def see a difference between money there & money here in US. Talking wsome business owners they say theyre being taxed 2 death. This is what the US has 2look forward 2 wDemocrats turning this country into a socialistic society.

        What it means is that now we have to pay -1 For our fruit and veg bags and -2 For our dustbin liners where before we recycled our supermarket plastic bags.
