Sophia Coppola made a movie this year, it didn't get nominated because it wasn't very good. No conspiracy needed. #Resist #FakeNews

Lady Bird was shot pretty straight forward, nothing complicated or flashy. An argument could be made for Wonder Woman and it's Director getting snubbed, this, IMO.

Natalie Portman has had NO problem making movies for all male directors AND getting millions of dollars from it. She is a rich, Hollywood elite joke!

i am all for empowerment but that was just stupid. Whose fault is it that there are genuinely few female directors?

I somewhat agree, bring moleated as a child and raped as an adult. But you cant switch from actress to director when your being blacklisted to even have ppl work with you, by the men who did the blacklisting.....

Natalie Portman, in my opinion, put a stain on what was a glorious night for all women. It was not appropriate. Those directors didn’t deserve to have their accomplishments tainted by her snide remark. Way to make it awkward Natalie. Maybe just a “step it up ladies!” next time.

I thought it was rude to those nominated. They didn't deserve shaming.

Funny that these FAMOUS actresses all had to have SEX with their directors, producers, etc, to become famous. NO SEX NO FAME! No wonder these women have become MORAL-LESS!pic.twitter.com/itE6yD6MT2
